My name is Dorcas and I’m the one woman show behind Folia Cake Design.
my style
My style is modern but elegant and I love to draw inspiration from nature. I have a passion for flowers and textures and love to include those in my designs. My style typically incorporates exquisite details such as handcrafted sugar flowers, wafer paper textures, and hand-painted designs, all done with great attention to details which will no doubt impress your guests.
I started baking about 15 years ago when I got married myself and couldn’t find the perfect cake. Back then I wanted something elegant with beautiful fresh roses but it was almost impossible, so I baked my own wedding cake in the end. It was not the best cake I’ve made but since then I have become obsessed with cakes and have perfected my skills through night schools and lots of recipe experiments.
When not caking I have two young boys who keep me busy with mum duties!
